Co-Ranks

A character's co-rank is completely separate from their political rank. Most co-ranks have two tiers of learning where one holds the head co-rank and others hold lesser co-ranks. The head co-rank is referred to as the 'first-level' co-rank (Eg: Lead Hunter). Lesser co-ranks are the second- and third-level co-ranks. (Eg: Teacher, Mentor)
Co-ranks can be obtained by demonstrating a character's affinity or talent toward the co-rank. This would be done IC'ily, where the character puts their skills to the test.
If your character has a talent or skill that is not listed, and may warrant the creation of a new co-rank, feel free to suggest your idea.
Anyone wishing to obtain a first-level co-rank (head co-rank) must first apply for the lower co-rank, be it a second- or third-level co-rank. You must apply for the lowest availabe co-rank. Those who have posessed a lower-level co-rank for some time may reapply for a higher-level co-rank when they think their character is ready.
If you would like to apply for a lower-level co-rank, post in this thread with the following:

` Co-Rank applying for
` Three threads where skill is demonstrated
To apply for a higher-level co-rank, reply to the thread with your rationale. Please link to a number of threads (a minimum of five) which display your character's aptitude toward the particular co-rank. Reply to the thread with the following:

Protector
3, second-level co-rank

The Protector is one of the wolves learning skills to defend the pack and its borders. They report to the Guardian and the pack leadership should an issue arrise.

Ambassador
1, first-level co-rank

The Ambassador, similar to the Guardian, is responsible for external pack security, and is entrusted with knowing things that involve the pack outside its own borders. This wolf is also responsible for gathering information on the other packs and is expected to have a good understanding of the current issues between other packs as well.

Spy
1, second-level co-rank

Along the lines of the Guardian and Ambassador, the Spy is an essential wolf in preserving pack security. This wolf is responsible for inquiring information on situations occurring in or surrounding other packs. Because their job often involves them to stray near or within enemy territory, this wolf is highly specialized in secrecy and stealth.

Scout

The Shaman is quite similar to the Spiritualist, save for their inexperience in comparison. Unlike the Spiritualists, they do not perform exorcisms or ward areas against spirits.    The Teacher is one of the wolves training to become a teacher. Though they do not run classes, this wolf aids other members of the pack in their learning. They often resort to browsing the Library in order to further their knowledge.

Orator
1, first-level co-rank

The Orator is the public speaker. They may give speeches in tandem with the Professor or Mentor, or may act as the storyteller of the pack. They have great command over the spoken word and oftentimes represent the pack with the Ambassador in meetings with other packs and clans.

Pedagogue
2, second-level co-rank

Their duties are quite similar to the Orator, however they focus more on speeches. They are completely equal to the Baird.
