Ranks

Ranks are updated at least once a month. Rank evaluations are based on post count; those with a sufficient post count will qualify for a rank upgrade. The number of threads one has is not taken into account, as rank promotion considerations are based solely on activity.
IC'ily, ranks are primarily a political advanced and reflect a character's activity and helpfulness in the pack as a whole. Ranks do not reflect their abilities or talents: only how much they are in the pack or seen around.

Co-Ranks

Co-Ranks are IC recognitions of a character's talents. If a character excels at one thing, they may be encouraged by another member to seek a co-rank. Three IC threads are required to achieve a lower-level co-rank, and one IC thread with a leader is required for a higher-level co-rank. To obtain a higher-level co-rank, one must first hold a lower-level co-rank. For more information on co-ranks, please see the co-rank page.

Borders & greeting newcomers

Shadowed Sun permits wolves not belonging to the pack within the borders under certain conditions; when they have intentions to borrow items from The Library, are seeking tutoring or knowledge on a certain subject from a pack member, or are visiting a friend within the pack. Otherwise, wolves not belonging to the Shadowed Sun pack are not permitted within the borders unless they have one of the leader's express permission.
Newcomers wishing to join may be greeted by an adult wolf of any rank higher than Periokoi. If the greeter is impressed by the newcomer, they should call for a leader regarding the potential member. If all goes well, the joiner will be accepted and ranked as a Periokoi.

Activity Checks

Activity checks do not occur very frequently, but when they do, they are mandatory. Failure to reply to a mandatory activity check will result in removal or demotion. Activity checks will generally be in character, and are usually a howl, where a leader (or both) howl to the other members.

Multiple Characters

If you would like to take on a second character, PM a member of the 'Souls Assemblage requesting permission. Permission is only granted two weeks in advance, so be sure you are active when you ask. Permission will be granted so long the following requirements are followed:

   1. You have been a member of the pack for one month.
   2. You have been consistently active in the last month.
